Tesco Taste Northern Ireland 2015

The 7th annual Tesco Taste Festival kicked off in style last Friday, with a well-attended VIP reception and a surprise appearance from the Belfast City Gospel Choir, who had organised a special flash mob performance of ‘Food Glorious Food’ for the occasion.

As well as planning, executing and hosting the showcase event for Tesco Northern Ireland, we were on-site to lend a hand to exhibitors with stand design and production as well as supporting sampling activity with staff and equipment.

With visitors queuing to get in, the doors opened on Friday afternoon and a flood of customers filled the marquee, to enjoy the delicious Northern Irish and Irish produce on offer.

Over 60 exhibitors were sampling the finest food and drink including live cookery demonstrations, ensuring there was plenty to keep the whole family amused. Tayto entertained the younger guests with the legendary Tayto castle, while Skea Eggs flipped chocolate pancakes and Punjana ensured everyone had a hot brew. Magners and Diageo served older guests a liquid taste of Northern Irish hospitality, and Moy Park kept the spirit of summer in the air sampling grilled chicken from their bespoke French van.

The party atmosphere on-site was infectious as Fiddler Adams entertained the crowds with his unique performances of classic country tracks all the way from Ballymena.

With so much to see and do, it was no wonder the event attracted a record 25,000+ footfall over the weekend – a 20% increase in visitors on 2014 .We are incredibly proud to have been a part of Tesco Northern Ireland’s flagship consumer food and drink event. And with our thinking caps already on for the 2016 Festival, we’re planning on creating another great event next year.
