Burns Night was nigh and the Hall’s team asked us to maximise sales of its popular haggis in the run up to The Bard’s birthday. This period represents the highest potential for haggis sales and we needed to create a strong and engaging promotion to encourage trial.
Research showed that Hall’s hits the spot in customer taste-tests and was popular internationally as well so we decided we would build on this with the confident proposition “The World’s Most Loved Haggis” supported by a tantalising instant win promotion with a top prize of £70,000.
In-store sampling and local radio were employed to drive awareness and in-store traffic. Hall’s was delighted with sales up by over 50% on the previous year and many stores’ shelves picked clean of product.
